Hi Ellen,
Your approach with _________ was brilliant!
Thank you for seeing us on such short notice. You were a breath of fresh air. I feel your approach is wonderful. Getting _________ to do things for him and not because someone is telling him to do it is what we need.

Hi Ellen,
My son, _____ attended your workshop last fall, when he was 14… I did want to express gratitude for the specific benefits we have received from attending the workshop. You helped my son envision his future and the steps we would need to take for him to achieve that vision. As he wants to attend a residential college as part of his long term vocational goal, he now understands learning how to complete ADLs (laundry, shopping, transportation, etc) are just as important to his success as academic achievement. The workshop has opened the door to all new areas of discussion between us. Further, the workshop was a wonderful introduction to T's active participation on his IEP team. We were able to present the team with T’s own detailed vision statement, with specific Transition Plan training needs related to that vision: a first for our town. We are now utilizing school resources (e.g., vocational planning resources) in ways that have not been used before. Finally, I have learned to not assume the etiology of undesired or unanticipated behaviors of my son. Your workshop made me more sensitive to a broader range of environmental factors on behavior, which has helped Ton at least one occasion since the workshop.
In sum, thank you.
